When Not to Use the Stability Stick

The Stability Stick is not suitable for individuals who have any of the following:

  • An acute fracture involving the spine, hip, or pelvis

  • A dislocated hip

  • A congenital hip deformity

  • Severe instability of the pelvis, spine, or hip joint

  • Acute spinal cord compression

  • Severe osteoporosis

  • Recent abdominal, pelvic, or hip surgery (within the past 6 weeks)

  • Discomfort while using the Stability Stick—even at low effort

Important: The Stability Stick is designed to work with only 30% of your maximum effort. If contracting your muscles against the Stick causes significant pain, reduce the amount of force you’re applying.

If pain or discomfort continues, stop using the Stability Stick and consult a healthcare professional.
